From the humble beginnings of an outdoor enthusiasts club in the early 1970's, to a company that now holds a world wide presence, Marmot has focused on one thing, to provide the highest quality, best performing outdoor clothing and gear. The brainchild of two college students, Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley began making outdoor vests and sleeping bags from their dorm room at the University of California.
Marmot was officially born in 1974 with the name Marmot Mountain Works and opened up shop in an old grocery store in Grand Junction, Colorado. The rest of the story, as they say, is now history. Marmot continues to provide high quality, innovative outdoor gear in over 27 countries across the globe.
